Remix

My collaborator and I “remixed” two seemingly opposite sources of inspiration—the song “H” by Tool and the ancient building technique known as mortise and tenon. “H” is about the experience of being overly connected to someone or something. Inspired by this, coupled with the recognition that we’re overly dependent on time and our daily schedules, we created an anti-calendar that depicts the passing of time as seasons through a gradient of color.

The purpose is to feel time differently and separate ourselves from our daily schedules. The 3D printed box formed by the mortise and tenon technique hides the days of the month by default and you can rotate the calendar to create different compositions.
