Interface
Constant Interface combines analog and digital acts of viewing to explore the repetitive role we play as society’s spectators, in constant consumption of media. Footage includes eyes fixated on a scrolling Instagram feed interspersed with the observation of desolate and deserted neighborhoods in the early days of COVID-19 quarantine. Witnessing the world through a window and scrolling through Instagram are two juxtaposed acts of viewing that are seemingly prevalent in the age of COVID-19 and beyond.

The footage is edited through a recursive production process that turns the stroboscopic, florescent, and high-frequency experience of Instagram into one that is abstracted, textured, and low-fi.
