Boston
Bruins

I recently had the pleasure of working with the Boston Bruins Foundation to re-design their Community & Foundation Report—a showcase of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts throughout the year.

The Foundation requested that the re-design be uniformed and streamlined, allowing the content to be the main focus. Taking this into consideration, I developed a rotating system of page layouts that allowed for both consistency and adaptability depending on the quantity of text and photos on any given page. I added a Table of Contents which eliminated the need for sections headers on each page. This allowed for more white space and larger photos. The orange pattern used on every page in the original version, I reduced in size and used sparingly as a dynamic graphic element. The iconography found in the "Annual Stats" section also served this purpose. Lastly, hockey fans might recognize the shape of the section headers and bullets points—trapezoids—a nod to the shape of the goalie net.

Notes: Iconography; annual report
